In Women’s Budget Group’s (WBG) first podcast, they look at how open government can help to promote advance and defend women’s rights.

In this podcast, WBG discusses Freedom of Information (a key pillar of open government), and the potential that transparency has to improve accountability. They talk with Maeve McClenaghan from the Bureau of Investigative Journalism (BIJ) about an investigation they undertook which unveiled the serious stuggles faced by domestic violence refuges in England following huge budget cuts.
